MIMA Building & Fronts

While in New York, we had a chance to explore MIMA which is short for the Meat Packing District.  The abbreviation doesn't add up with meat packing but it's cool anyways.  Apparently the area has evolved to be a trendy area full of shops and local eateries from the historical meat port/industry; hence the name meat packing.  Anyways, the thing that caught my eye was the presence of new buildings incorporated into the traditional buildings and lots of cool store fronts.  This place kind of reminds me of the Pearl in Portland.  I would've love to spend a bit more time here.
